Details of the 1972 Minneapolis show:

• Date: November 19, 1972.

• Venue: Guthrie Theater.

• Opening act: Taj Mahal.

• Performance: Donald Fagen and Walter Becker later recalled the performance as "terrible". Fagen, dealing with stage fright, had other members like David Palmer handle many of the vocals. They acknowledged Taj Mahal was a much better performer that night.

• Recordings: Any recordings of Steely Dan's 1972 concerts are extremely rare, and none have ever officially surfaced.
